Default Missing .msi file when upgrading from Works to Office?

I am trying to upgrade Works9 (Bundled) to Office 2007 SBE (Upgrade) on my
new VAIO AW11Z notebook. I'm experiencing a recognised bug (see link below)
and have downloaded the appropriate patch.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/943290
The patch will not install as it cannot locate a Works9.msi file. I have
searched all the drives on my machine (inc. hidden folders) and the 3
recovery discs I created, still no luck.
Does anyone have any idea where this file is located or have any alternative
suggestions?
