Inserting e-mail address via 'To' button
Hi all
Can anyone explain why the following happens. I am using MS Outlook 2003 on W.XP with SPK2. All of contacts our saved with the Surname showing first as an old style paper address book. However when I want to enter a recipient e-mail address in a n e-mail (one I haven't used before), I click on the To: button in the address bar - I have to click on 'Contacts' in the Select Names From the: list (Outlook Address Book choice gives a blank list). The list that appears then shows most of my contacts - not all (why not all?) and they appear filed in alphabetical order of First names - not surnames? Also every e-mail address & phone number that the contact has is shown - not just the e-mail addresses. Anyw help to rectify this would be appreciated. Extremeley baffled!! |

The address book view only shows electronic addresses, not all Contacts.
Instructions for sorting the address book view are posted here daily. Go to Tools E-mail accounts View or change existing directories or address books Outlook Address Book Change… Set your sort order there -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "baffled32" wrote in message ...
