Default "news" command has disappeared

I added the "News" command to my "Go" menu in Outlook. I
opened the newsreader once using this command, did some
work, and then closed the news reader out. Awhile later,
I clicked on the "Go" menu and the "news" command was
missing. Additionally, the "news" command is also
missing from the customization options as well,
preventing me from dragging and dropping it back onto
the "go" menu. As far as I can tell, the "news" command
has totally disappeared from the system. I am using
Office 2003. Any help is greatly appreciated.
