Knowing if Product Key is already activated
My office has several copies of Office XP in a box. When I went to install one, I was wondering how a person can know which keys have already been activated without going through the whole installation and punching in all the numbers? Nobody marked which licenses had already been used. I don't want to have to waste my whole day with trial and error.

Knowing if Product Key is already activated
That's all fine and dandy. I have key finders. That does not even come close to answering my question. Let me simplify with this example. If a person has 3 copies of OfficeXP in a stack and 2 of those copies have already been installed and activated, how can a person know which one of those 3 has NOT been activated for the 3rd install?
Yes, one could sit there and punch in zillions of numbers until the right one is found. I don't wish to waste my whole day doing that. ----- Mary Sauer wrote: ----- Product key finder is here, sixth item on the left. http://www.mvps.org/msauer/graphics.htm -- Mary Sauer MS MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://www.mvps.org/msauer/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "BeachBum" wrote in message ... Use your key finder to identify the ones that are installed. They are
the used ones. The ones that aren't used might have not been activated. BeachBum wrote: That's all fine and dandy. I have key finders. That does not even come close to answering my question. You are going to need to log onto each of your PCs and run keyfinder
(http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml) on each machine. That will tell you what keys are used. Compare that list with the keys on the boxes. That will tell you which keys are used and which are not. You don't need to "punch in zillions of number until the right one is found". "BeachBum" wrote in message ... That's all fine and dandy.
