Default Help, please, with unwanted fill color

Why does my entry into a cell result in an automatic fill color when the font
selection is "no fill" and no Conditional Formating rule results in that cell
being filled?

Thanks.

Any cell or a particular cell?

Perhaps you have some event code running in the sheet module?

Right-click on the sheet tab and "View Code".

Anything there?

Or right-click on the Excel Icon left of "File" on the menubar and "View code".

Anything there?

No, there is no code. It only happens to cells in columns c,d,e and f.

Thanks, again.

All worksheets in the workbook or just the one worksheet?

ToolsAdd-ins............see any add-in there that might be doing the deed?

If you don't recognize something, uncheck it and re-start Excel and open the
workbook.

CF, code in the workbook or an add-in is all I can think of.
