Default Line spacing on e-mails

Hi,
When I send e-mails using Outlook and Microsoft Word all my text has
double line spacing.
I have been into Word and ticked 'single line spacing' but this sems
to make no difference.
It is only when people reply that I know this is happening as my copy
looks correct.
Is the problem with Word 2000 or Outlook 2000?
Any help would be most welcome - - Thanks....

Please let me know if you get a response on this, I have
posted the same question. This has just happened since we
installed Ofc.Prof. 2003.

I have the same problem but it only happens when I reply to an email in my inbox. Once I hit reply and start typing the lines are automatically double spaced. Nothing I do works. Thanks,
