problems in fitting a line
I am using XLFIT4 (software that adds some functionality to MS EXCEL)
for plotting a graph with x, y and z values. XLFIT plots the curve in 3D space., but I want to find a straight line equation(approximation, like the least square fit) like z = some function of x and y., from the set of data points I have, 1) does anyone know a way in which I can find the equation of a straight line in 3d space given a set of x, y and z values., I know MS Excel does that for 2D.,I am lost for 3D.. help please |
