FINDING A NAMED TAB
I put a lot of worksheets in one workbook. If I have 100 worksheets in one
workbook and their tab names are 1, 2, 3, 4 etc all the way thru 100, and I want to find sheet named 50, for instance, without clicking on each tab to find it, is there a way to find it more quickly? |

If you right-click on the navigation arrow to the left of your tabs, you will see a list of your worksheet names. You can select the one you want to jump to. When I create/work with workbooks with many worksheets, I often create a "Navigation" tab that has hyperlinks to each worksheet. Then on each worksheet I have a cell that 'links' back to the navigation tab. |

FINDING A NAMED TAB
Rightclick on the VCR/DVD like controls at the bottom left corner.
You'll see a list of sheet names -- and with that many you'll also see a "More sheets" option. Click on that and you can choose to select any of those sheets. You want to look at: http://contextures.com/xlToolbar01.html (From Debra Dalgleish's site.) It builds a toolbar that you can use with any workbook to navigate to any worksheet. There's a link to an xl2007/ribbon version (by Ron de Bruin) on Debra's site. ======= If you're new to macros: Debra Dalgleish has some notes how to implement macros he http://www.contextures.com/xlvba01.html David McRitchie has an intro to macros: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/getstarted.htm Ron de Bruin's intro to macros: http://www.rondebruin.nl/code.htm (General, Regular and Standard modules all describe the same thing.) twinpat wrote: I put a lot of worksheets in one workbook. FINDING A NAMED TAB
Many ways to do this.
Here are 3 ways. You can right-click on the sheet navigation arrows and select from 15 sheets or "more sheets". Or you can build a Navigation Toolbar as per Dave's code on Debra Dalgleish's site. http://www.contextures.on.ca/xlToolbar01.html Or see this google search thread for the BrowseSheets macro from Bob Phillips..............my personal choice. http://tinyurl.com/yoa3dw Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Tue, 19 May 2009 10:20:01 -0700, twinpat wrote: I put a lot of worksheets in one workbook.
