Table printed on top of header

I've inserted a header. The header box fits the whole page. I've also added a
table.
When I print the table prints on top of my header.
How do I close the header and make the box smaller?

Is the header the size it is because it is full of empty paragraphs. Click
on the Show/Hide button ¶ and take a look.
