Changing color of (visited) links
I have created quite a few ppt slideshows, and in 2007 I will need to know
how to change the color of links (both visited and unvisited). I recall how to do this in 2003, but of course this has all changed. Can someone tell me what to do? I looked in all the ribbon options but didn't see how to do this. -- Paul Dell Inspiron 1501 Vista Home Basic Office 2007 |

Design tab, Colors. If it's a custom color set, right-click it and choose
Edit. If it's a built-in one, you'll need to choose "create new color scheme." Then change the last color there, give the scheme a name and save it. You may need to apply it to all slides, which you can do by right-clicking it in the color dropdown. Not sure you have to do this, but it won't hurt -- just to be on the safe side, you know. These link/followed link colors no longer show up on the various color pickers so if you need to change link/followed link colors, you don't have to change the color of everything else as well. That did it. Thanks.

Changing color of (visited) links
Thanks for your tips for setting the colors for link/followed link.
I can get the followed link color to show only when viewing my slide OUTSIDE of presentation mode. Should I only use hyperlinks and see the changed colors outside of presentation mode? Defeats the purpose, lose audio, etc. Any thoughts on how to see links that have been accessed while in presentation mode? Thanks "Echo S" wrote: Design tab, Colors. Changing color of (visited) links
They should change while you're in slide show view. Sometimes in PPT 2007
they don't change until after you've gone back a second time, though. Changing color of (visited) links
Thanks for confirming that the changing colors of followed links not working
in Presentation mode is a bug. And yes, it is most annoying. There is a Jeopardy game that is great to use during training classes and now unusable because of this bug. So it sounds like the only way to see the changed colors to the links is to stop the presentation & start it up (after each time the links change). Not a workable workaround. I do appreciate you responding, thanks. "Echo S" wrote: They should change while you're in slide show view. Sometimes in PPT 2007 they don't change until after you've gone back a second time, though. Changing color of (visited) links
I had that exact problem -- with a Jeopardy game, even! -- not long ago, and
my only real solution was to run the file in PPT 2003. You might also be able to run it in the Viewer and get a better result than PPT 2007 gives. -- Echo [MS PPT MVP] http://www.echosvoice.com What's new in PPT 2007? http://www.echosvoice.com/2007.htm Fixing PowerPoint Annoyances http://tinyurl.com/36grcd PowerPoint 2007 Complete Makeover Kit http://tinyurl.com/32a7nx Don't Miss the PPTLive User Conference!
