Default embedding flash into ppt

I've been embedding flash into my presentations for years but have been
trying to figure it out in 07 for the last couple days without luck. have
they done anything different? i'm following instructions, flipping the
"embed" to true, and it still doesn't want to put the movie inside flash so
that it goes with the ppt. is there a size limit? these movies are 5-10 mb's.
It didn't make a diffence before but maybe now? i'm perplexed. thanks

Sorry Gail, you can't embed Flash in PPT 2007. You have to treat it like a
movie with links.

Mainly you want to place your Flash SWF in the same folder as the PowerPoint
presentation, and not set Embed to true since a security feature in
PowerPoint 2007 does not let you embed any external content within a
PowerPoint 2007 PPTX file -- but you can still do that within the older PPT
file format.

You'll find more detailed info at:

Have a great day.

You will need to "upgrade" to PP2003 if you want to do that. One of the
many reasons I will never go to 2007.
cheers

Thanks everyone for your answers. Geesh, what was microsoft thinking? My ppts
often go from one person to another. Slides often get pulled from one talk
and placed into another, especially videos for training. the 07version has
lost a lot of practicality!
