Default Updated email address in Outlook 2003 doesn't show in distribution

When I update an email address in my global address book I used to be able to
open a distribuiton list that the indiviudual belonged to and click "Update
Now" and the distribution list would automatically reflect the updated email
address for the individual. Now it doesn't. I have to delete the person and
then add them again to the distribution list or they still have the outdated
email address. I don't know what changed but can I change it back?

No. The feature has never worked. After 12 years I have concluded it never
will. Perhaps I'm being hasty.
