Default Pivot Table option, display as data list, repeating items down

I sometimes need to combine data from more than one pivot table, and then do
a pivot table on the combined data. Since you don't have the option of
having a pivot table display in a data list format (repeating the item labels
down all applicable cells instead of the default of showing the item once for
all applicable rows), I have to slim down the pivot table until all lines are
unique for all fields, cut/paste, repeat for all needed combinations. An
option to have a pivot table display in a data list format would make this
simple. This would also allow you to do another pivot table directly from
just the body of a source pivot table, omitting all of the page and
unselected data, and allowing your second pivot table to be smaller (file
size wise)

Carl,

Instead of 'slimming down' your pivot table, you could copy the table, paste
it as values somewhere, select the entire table, use Edit Go To.. Blanks,
type =, hit the up arrow key, and press Ctrl-Enter. Then copy the whole
table again, and convert to values. That will create your data list
formatted table.

Your recommendation works! Thanks!
Can my suggestion still be entered for future Excel enhancement
consideration? I think it would benefit others.
