Default Invisible Table Borders?

Hi, Im doing a template in word and Im using lots of tables to organize the document. I have the option of no borders in the tables which show up in gray on-screen and not when its printed. Thats ok but, I want, if possible, to make those gray table borders invisible to the user when he/she opens it. If its not possible, is there a way of at least making those gray borders less visible? [For example using a lighter gray].

Thanks in advance.

ThePro,
The "gray borders" are actually table gridlines. They do not print and their
display is turned on by clicking Show Gridlines on the Table menu and turned
off by clicking Hide Gridlines on the Table menu. They are not visible
until you remove the borders from the table. Whether they are turned on or
off is an environmental setting that is controlled by the user of the
computer. It might not be appreciated if you included AutoOpen and
AutoClose macros in your document that turned gridlines off if they were on
when your document is opened and left them in their original state when the
document is closed -- you could easily run into macro security issues, which
would stop the execution of the macros.

The easy solution is to do the following:
Place the insertion point in a table
Point to Select on the Table menu
Click Table
Click Borders and Shading on the Format menu
Click the Borders tab
Click All
Under Style, click the top style which is a simple line
Under Color, select the white box in the lower right corner
Under Width, click 1/2 pt. or even 1/4 pt.
Make sure the Apply to box displays "Table"
Click OK

The effect of doing this is to "hide" the table gridlines with white lines.

I vaguely remember reading warnings about the possible impact on line breaks
and line spacing but I've never had any problems with this approach.
