New PC , trial edition want to use password from old PC
Hi
I have a new PC. It came with a trial edition of Office which I activated for 60 days but has now run out. I have an old PC with a copy of the Ultimate Steal on it. I want to use the licence from my old PC on my new PC I am not that bothered about having Office on my old PC. I tried entering the Ultimate steal password into the new PC's office trial and it didn't accept it. How do I go about transferring the licence from one PC to another? thanks |

New PC , trial edition want to use password from old PC
One further question that I should have added. I have been thinking what I need to do is to uninstall the trial edition on the new PC and install the ultimate steal edition. Is this going to be right? This seems quite a pain to do, especially as I have configured my Onenote and don't want to loose anything. "me" wrote: Hi I have a new PC. You don't. You need to uninstall the Trial version and the Activation Assistant and
then install the Ultimate Steal that you have . You must also uninstall the Ultimate Steal version from your old computer. Then when you activate you need to use the telephone activation method and explaining what you have done -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. Peter
thanks for the fast respond. Just to clarify when you say "you don't" - do you mean I will not loose anything if I uninstall / then reinstall? Including software configuration within office (menus , customised tags in onenote) Do you know what the steal licensing deal is? From googling it seems to be two copies - one laptop and one desktop. thanks "Peter Foldes" wrote: You don't.
