Default how can I get "permission" to change time zone?

For some reason the default ime zone is incorrect in my calendar options.
However when I try to change it I get a pop up window telling me taht I do
not have permission to do this, but this is my personal lap top, in my home
and my office program. Can someone tell me how I might be able to fix trhis
so that I can change everything in my calendar. Thank you in advacne for
your help

What operating system? Do you have your usual login account configured as a
limited user account? You need to be logged in as an admin or run the time
applet in Control pane as administrator.
