Default Distribution List Seen as Invalid Recipient

I followed Microsoft Outlook 2007 Help (F1) and was successful at creating a
Distribution List. However, when I attempt to send a message to the
Distribution List, I get the following from the "System Administrator":

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: Test
Sent: 12/17/2009 1:15 PM

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

'Family' on 12/17/2009 1:15 PM
Invalid recipient

Any ideas how to fix this?

Message means that one or more of the recipients in the DL has an ivalid
address. We can't fix that from here. Only you can.
