Problems installing Office 2003 following uninstallation Office 2007 Beta 2 Tech Refresh
A friend recently upgraded Office 2007 Beta 2, which worked perfectly,
to Office 2007 Beta 2 Tech Refresh, and found that it would no longer open any of her Office files. Office 2007 Beta 2 Tech Refresh was then uninstalled, and she attempted to install Office 2003. However, she got 'Error 1305: Setup cannot read file'. Is this a problem with the setup disc, or a conflict created by Office 2007? If it is the latter, how can it be fixed? |

Problems installing Office 2003 following uninstallation Office 2007 Beta 2 Tech Refresh
Does your friend have Norton AV with the Office Plug-in active? If yes, uncheck it and reinstall Office 2007.
