Questions on configuring sent and trash folders on IMAP server
I think the contacts in vista will sync using the sync center. OE is
history - there is a look-alike in Vista called Mail and its being replaced by the Live Mail client. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. Question though... 1) Is there a version for IE7 & Windows Vista? 2) Will it sync contacts w/ my PPC running Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro? -Randy "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: Outlook Express is not Outlook. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. I can move it to the trash, then purge the deleted messages in my inbox, but that's such a hassle. I just want the message to be moved to the trash folder on the IMAP server when I press to delete a message from my inbox, or any other folder. Questions on configuring sent and trash folders on IMAP server
Nope, if outlook is not installed, contacts cannot sync. The options in the
"Windows Mobile Device Center" are grayed out for that aspect of the sync if outlook is not installed. Okay, I guess I can live with the deleted thing, but I need to know how to set the rule to have sent messages put in the sent folder. I am much more concerned with being able to to go back through my sent box in case any discrepancies come up. Select your IMAP account and click Change, then More Settings. On the Folders tab, select the radio button labeled "Choose an existing folder or create a new folder to save your sent items for this account in" (bad English, I know). Expand your IMAP folders and select the IMAP-based Sent Items folder (or whatever one you want to use). Create it if it's not there. Make sure you subscribe to that folder. To subscribe to the IMAP folder, select the IMAP inbox in the Navigation Pane, then click ToolsIMAP Folders. Click Query. In the Folders list, select Sent Items and click Subscribe. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

I have Office 2003, not 2007. Can this still be done? I didn't see the
option where you described. -Randy "Brian Tillman" wrote: Randy wrote: Nope, if outlook is not installed, contacts cannot sync. No, that is new to Outlook 2007.
