Is there a proceedure or application that I could use to generate a custom
help file for the users of the database I am building? I know if the front end was built out of VB I could build a custom helpfile. |

Hi Cameron,
Try some of the following KB articles: OFFXPDEV: How to Create Context-Sensitive HTML Help Files http://support.microsoft.com/kb/296231 OFFXPDEV: Custom Help File Is Displayed in Access Help Window http://support.microsoft.com/kb/275117 How to create an HTML Help system by using either the HTMLHelp API or the HTML Help in Access http://support.microsoft.com/kb/828419 How to Display Context-Sensitive Help for the What'sThis Button http://support.microsoft.com/kb/202314 How to create pop-up context-sensitive Help by using Windows API WinHelp() http://support.microsoft.com/kb/210166 How to Programmatically Display a Help File http://support.microsoft.com/kb/209843 How to Start a Custom Help File in a Run-Time Solution http://support.microsoft.com/kb/243568 OFFXPDEV: How to Display Context-Sensitive Help for the What'sThis Button http://support.microsoft.com/?id=306370 There are also commercial packages that you might want to check out. Here are some of them, which I found with a quick Google search. I am not necessarily endorsing any of these: http://www.ec-software.com/hmpage.htm http://www.helpdevelopmentstudio.com/ http://www.macromedia.com/software/robohelp/ Tom Wickerath Microsoft Access MVP http://www.access.qbuilt.com/html/ex...tributors.html http://www.access.qbuilt.com/html/search.html __________________________________________ "Cameron" wrote: Is there a proceedure or application that I could use to generate a custom help file for the users of the database I am building?
