Null fields and Can Shrink Property
Hi
I have 2 address tables where I need to suppress blank lines. The Can Shrink property works fine in 1 table but in the other does not work. I've tested that the fileds are Null and not just empty by using a query with criteria Is Null. Any ideas anybody? Help much appreciated. Sheila |

Null fields and Can Shrink Property
If the fields are not shrinking in the report, and you are certain that they
do not contains spaces or zero-length strings, check: 1. Is the CanShrink property of the (Detail?) section also set to Yes? 2. Is there anything overlapping these controls or partially in line with them vertically that could prevent them from shrinking? -- Allen Browne - Microsoft MVP. Perth, Western Australia. Null fields and Can Shrink Property
Hi Allen
Yes I have checked this, I've even created a very simple report based on address fields only, deleted all the lables, set the criteria to Address 2 Is Null which gives me 300 records from 800 but still will not remove gaps. I'm baffled I must admit. Is there any other default property I should be looking at? Thanks for your help Sheila |
