Default Excel 2007 compatibility issue - speed between cells

Hi,

I have a document for a user that was originally created in Excel 2000. We
recently upgraded to Office 2007 Basic.

The problem we have for a spreadsheet that has 240 Rows, and Columns upto
AQ the movement between cells and rows is slow! very slow!

we have applied Service pack 2 to fix an earlier issue of the dynamic
filters in compatibility mode as detailed in
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l....aspx#section4

Name Description Compatibility Mode Behavior

User has a dynamic filter applied.
Excel 2000-2003 only supports value filters. Excel 2007 supports
dynamic filters for items such as "today" and "last month."
Filters will not be viewable, but the filtered rows will remain hidden.

User has a filter that filters by formatting.
Excel 2000-2003 only supports value filters. Excel 2007 supports
filtering by cell background color, cell foreground color, and cell icon.
Filters will not be viewable, but the filtered rows will remain hidden.

User selects multiple items from the autofilter listview.
Excel 2000-2003 only supports filtering by 2 conditions. Excel 2007
allows the user to check multiple items from a list view control, which
creates multiple sort conditions.
Filters will not be viewable, but the filtered rows will remain hidden.

Forumlas on the spreadsheet are simple but one cell can affect upto 26
different cells on the same row.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks

Check for:

- Google Office Addin (check in Office Button --Excel
Options--Addins--COM Addins and remove)
- Drawing/shape objects (may not be visible, so Find&Select--GoTo
Special--Objects) and delete them if not required
