Default 0ffice 97 : impossible to install registered version

Vista Ultimate SP2

I had a trial of Office 2007 installed.

I then purchased Microsoft® Office Home and Student 2007 English Full
License

I de-installed the trial

I downloaded and installed the install package as described in my license
e-mail.

I ran X12-30107-DLM.exe and entered my license key when prompted.

However, when I run Word it is still crippled. I can not open .doc or .docm
files by double-clicking them. I can not use the mouse to locate the
cursor. The scrollbars don't work. Right-click does not work.

What is going on ? How do I install my licensed registered copy of Office
2007 so that it works ?

Thanks.

I experience after I install an automatic update for Word 2007 on a
Windows Vista-based computer?"
