O2k3 Outlook deploy issues
I'm looking to deploy Office2003 to an Office2k shop. I built an MST
using CIW, and created an admin install point on the network with SP1 slipstreamed. User settings and Outlook profile is migrated, but previous versions of Office are removed. I am having a few issues after install: - Outlook, at first run, tries to hit Pro11.msi in its original location. I have disabled all of the "Install on first run" options. The users have no access to the admin share after install (Active Directory not deployed yet). I have Outlook set to "Run all from ...."What else is OL trying to install? - My test 'power user' has noticed that Junk E-mail filtering works well, but the folder is *emptied* when Send/Receive occurs, automatically or manually. Junk E-mail is not set to delete. She sees the e-mail arrive to the folder, but it will disappear. She is using Cached Exchange mode, but has set delivery to a Personal Folders file (97-02 format). - I have a batch file that starts Outlook to install a .prf file, to set a non-standard location for the AutoArchive folder. I added a RunOnce reg key to execute this batch file locally after restart. The batch file runs but the .prf is not being applied. I set up an Archive Folders .pst entry in the MST, as well as turning on AutoArchiving and copying in a new-format archive.pst to to the correct location. [P.S., I can see a set of entries for a .prf file within the MST, and would love to use them, but there is no means of manually editing those settings - is there?] Sorry for the verbosity, trying to get details in. Any help or help links appreciated. -Scott |
