email attachments very slow to open
When I double click on a document attached to an email it can take several
minutes to open the document. Also, when I'm in My Documents and double click on a Word document it takes a long time to load. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Windows XP & Word 2007, latest updates installed. -- Hoby, in Idaho

Do you have Norton AV or another AV set to scan Office Documents on open?
If yes, either disable that option or uninstall (use the Symantec clean up to completely remove it) and then reinstall without the option for scanning Office Documents. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact.
