Visio 2007: How to change the default text size of shapes?
Hello,
In Visio 2007, how can I change the default text size of shapes? E.g., the default text size of a Rectangle (from Basic Shapes) is 8 point. I want the default text size to be 12 points. How is that done in Visio 2007? Many thanks in advance, Roberto Rocco |

Visio 2007: How to change the default text size of shapes?
Go to Tools Options... and select "Run in Developer Mode" on the Advanced
Tab. Go to FormatDefine Styles... and modify the Text attribute of the style applied to your shapes ("Basic" style for the Rectangle). For shapes that have no style applied to them (e.g. shapes added using the drawing tools) change the font size when no shapes are selected and you should find that all shapes created thereafter will start off with the new font size. changing default shape text size
Hi,
I think I'm having the same problem as you did. Every time I enter text into a shape it's set to size 8. I want it to be size 12. I went into options and enabled "run in developer mode" I went into "Define Styles", selected "Basic" and changed the text size to 12 and hit OK but it didn't seem to do anything. When I create a new shape and select text mode it's still set to size 8 font. Could you please help me with this, I've spent the last 4 hours trying to find a solution Thanks, cleric Roberto Rocco wrote: Hello Jonathan, thanks a lot.
