Problem - migrating store from beta 2 format
How did you uninstall and reinstall Outlook Express? The only normally
recommended method is the one outlined in method 2 of this KB article (which works for all OS'es except Windows 95): How to Reinstall or Repair Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows XP: http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q318378 If you are receiving the error message indicated in this KB article, it's an indication that you have a corrupted install, often caused by allowing an antivirus program to remain running during the installation and you will need to fix that by using the procedure outlined above (unless you are actually migrating from a beta of IE/OE 5 that used the awful ODS file format): 225867 - OLEXP: Error Message: MSIMN Caused an Invalid Page Fault in Module DIRECTDB.DLL: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=225867 -- Jim Pickering, MVP-Outlook Express Please reply only to newsgroup. "Ken Turner" wrote in message .. . I am having a problem that when OE starts I get a message about migrating my store from a beta 2 format, and OE gives another error message and quits, I uninstalled OE and re-installed OE and no help. Any ideas?? Thanks Ken Turner |
