I get an error when I try to create a combo box from the wizard
I get an error when I try to create a combo box from the wizard. I am trying
to use a database template of the Address book and wanted to look up a person by last name ,adn wanted the vlaue to be looked up when the drop down is released or typed in the combo box. Done that many times. Have installed service packs 1,2,3 for office 2000. Any ideas. see below: Syntax error in query expression'[SELECT[Addressess]].[*FROM[Addresses] ORDER BY [Addresses]].[LastName]' can't remeber how I used to that manually, any help would be gretly appreciated. Thanks Mo |

The SQL statement likely should be this:
SELECT [Addressess].* FROM [Addresses] ORDER BY [Addresses]].[LastName]; -- Ken Snell MS ACCESS MVP wrote in message ... I get an error when I try to create a combo box from the wizard. Ken;
The code is being generated by the wizard, before I click the finish button , I get the error described. I may have typed it wrong here. Thanks "Ken Snell [MVP]" wrote in message ... Open the form in design view, click on the combo box, click on the
Properties window icon (toolbar), click on Data tab, and paste this expression into the Row Source box (overwrite what you see there already): SELECT [Addressess].* FROM [Addresses] ORDER BY [Addresses].[LastName]; -- Ken Snell MS ACCESS MVP " wrote in message ...
