Subform not displaying records in list format
Hi everyone. I have a problem that I've been struggling on for a while and
quiet frankly need help! Ive have a main form based on a query and a subform based on an existing table. all the information required is their at it all works even when I enter data into subform (which is somewhat amazing for me). Is it possible to show all records (one under the other) for the selected choice (ie. from main form) in the subform rather than having to use the navigation bars to go to the next record, I only want to use the navigation bars to go to the next NEW record I want to update with data. Thanks Anyone |

Subform not displaying records in list format
Hi,
if you put the subform in either datasheet view or continuous view, you will see all the matching child records for the current main form's KeyID. Jeanette Cunningham "Try Hard" wrote in message ... Subform not displaying records in list format
Thanks Jeanette, I already have the subform in datasheet view and have tried
your other suggestion of continuous view, it does not work (for me anyway). The records which I want to group are those in the subform when they related to the KeyID in the mainform, the mainform is based on a query any I am having to navigate through each record. Subform not displaying records in list format
Are you asking to show all the records for the main form without having to
use the navigation buttons? If you put the main form in datasheet view or continuous view, you won't be able to put a subform on it. If you made the main form datasheet or continuous, you could try it with the subform on the footer of the main form. I haven't used this myself, but have seen it suggested in the discussion group. Subform not displaying records in list format
I could be wrong, but it sounds to me as if you haven't created the
Child/Master links joining the main form and subform. If this is the case, from the subform's Property Sheet goto the Data tab and set these properties. Then when you move to a record on the main form, the subform will display only related records. -- There's ALWAYS more than one way to skin a cat! Caculations within Subform
Hi
Can anybody help me. I am not good in Access. I'm trying to add value in record 1 and value in record 2 and put it in the main form. For example TotalSales = Salesitem of record 1 + Salesitem of record 2 Salesitem is a field in Subform while TotalSales is a field in Main form -- itswell |
