Default will office 2000 run on XP?

I'm thinking of buying a new pc but as all come with Win
XP I need to know if my small business tools such as
office 2000 will work with it.

Hi Paul,

MS Office 2000 runs on Windows XP.
Note that the Small Business Tools pack from Office 2000
is not being updated for content.

AFAIK most earlier versions of Office will run on XP but there is a
problem with some earlier versions such as Office97 failing to install
if SP2 is installed. I haven't heard of any such problem with Office
2000, do a search of this newsgroup to check.
