Delete a link to a deleted file
Hi all!
I have inadvertantly created a link from the source file to a destination file that has now been deleted from the system. How can I trace in which cell/worksheet of the source file the link has been created so that I can delete the link. Every time that I open the source file I get the usual update links message. Very annoying if you want to distribute the file to users. Many thanks to you all. |

Try using Bill Manville's "FindLink" program works for
difficult as well as simple situations. Download the addin from Stephen Bullen's MVP page. http://www.bmsltd.co.uk/MVP/Default.htm. You'll probably find other things of interest on that page as well. You might look at John Walkenbach Tip #54 for additional insight and most common cause. http://j-walk.com/ss/excel/usertips/tip054.htm --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel [site changed Nov. 2001] My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "sgl" wrote in message ...
