Pictures won't show

I just installed Pub 2002(sp3) on my new XP Pro computer
and it works fine except it will not show any inserted
photos. All of the settings that should affect this seem
fine. I had this on my old computer (XP home) and the
pictures worked fine.

There are guide marks where you can manipulate the photo
but no photo showing.

The photo insert works fine on other Office XP
applications.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program and have
the same problem.

A small child turns to Ed, and exclaims: "Look! Look! A post from Jim M
!"...

the suggestions on this disscussion. It is still a
mystery. Any other thoughts?

What format is the image? Can you open it in other programs, such as Paint? If you
can open it in Paint re-save it with a new name and try again. If it is a vector, try
opening it in Word then copy and paste it into Publisher. Sometimes images will
become corrupt...

What file? Publisher will not even show any template
photos, however it will show clip art.
