Default Remove the blank colum in the graph from merged cells

I have merged cells with the series lables for the X axis. When the Graphs is
displayed it includes a blank colom in the graph for each of the lines that i
have merged. How do i tell it to see the 3 Merged cells as one cell and only
make one colom for it?

Congratulations on finding one of the many reasons for not using merged
cells. In the archives of these Excel newsgroups you'll find frequent
advice to avoid them like the plague.
