lotus 2.4 macro
The following is an example of a simple macro I used in
Lotus 123. {goto}E3~ '{?}{D}'{?}{D}'{?}~ {GOTO}C8~'{?}~ Once invoked, the cursor goes to cell E3, waits for you to input data and hit enter, goes down 1 cell and repeats. If there is data in the cell that you dont want to change you just hit enter and it doesn't change the cell. I don't want to use a dialog box. I want the macro to perform exactly the same way it did in Lotus 123. Can that be done? Thanks.. |

Excel supports nothing remotely like {?} other than very complex event handler programming, which still doesn't get too close. FWIW, if there really are single quotes in your 123 macro as indicated, it most certainly does not leave previous cell contents as-is if you press [Enter]. It replaces cell contents with single quotes, i.e., zero length strings. -- Never attach files. Snip unnecessary quoted text. Never multipost (though crossposting is usually OK). Don't change subject lines because it corrupts Google newsgroup archives. |
