Default Importing other formats into Publisher

I need to import documents from non-windows and non-microsoft software into
Publisher. I have tried using rtf files without much success. What foreign
file formats can be imported into Publisher?

John

Thanks for the reply.

I would need to retain basic formatting, text and graphics. I do
have some ways of doing unformatted text transfer and can reformat
and add graphics - but this is time consuming!

=============================
If you require the text and objects to be
individual and editable....copy/paste is
your best and probably only option.

I am amazed that nobody is able to tell me the DTP formats that Publisher
can import - does that mean that it cannot?

Yes.

DTP program manufacturers guard their file format specifications
jealously; converters are few and far-between (and generally produced by
reverse-engineering others' products/files).
