Default not receiving some emails into outlook

I have outlook 2003 and have recently noticed that some emails disappear when
they are coming in to outlook. They are received by my server and outlook
says they are being received, screen flashes like they are coming in and then
they disappear. I don't know if this is a new problem or whether I just
haven't noticed dit before. I have spoken to my server and they seem to think
it is a problem with outlook. Hope someone can help.

Do they go into to the Junk Mail Folder. Have you checked that folder recently

I have checked junk and my servers mailbox. The email comes into the seerver
mailbox and when outlook tries to download it, you can actually see it as if
it is coming into the in box and then it disappears, it then also clears it
from my mail server although it set to save a copy. This only happens with
certain email, one of which is Air New Zealand. I went into outlook help
before and came across instruction to reapair any faults in the .pse file I
did this and repaired it and hoped that would fix it but it hasn't? Don't
know where to go from here

Do you scan your incoming mail with an antivirus or -spam scanner or do you
sync with a handheld device?

Hi Brian
I have AVG antivirus
There is another problem which I didn't mention before I will go through the
process below:
Check emails through my server kinect, they come in and I can read them
open outlook, messages upload, or 99% of them,
go back to server and refresh and messages disappear
this is happening although I have asked outlook to leave a copy on my server

regards Glenys

Uninstall AVG and reinstall it without the mail scanners.

Messages don't "upload" to Outlook. "Upload" means from client to server, so
when you're sending a message, you're "uploading". When you're getting
messages from the server, you're downloading (from server to client).

Is this a POP account? If you configure another POP client, like Outlook
Express or Windows Live Mail, does something different happen?
