Default Publisher 2003 booklet printing

The booklet is set to 2 pages per A4 landscape. My printer is not a duplex
type so I can print double-sided using the manual paper tray and turning
the printed page over and feeding for the next side.

However, if I use Word, I can print odd pages first, reload all into the
auto tray and then print the even pages.

Why doesn't Publisher allow that procedure in its printer dialogue?

Brian.

View, uncheck 2 page spread.
Page 1, Print, current page, click "no" to the query. Turn the page over, go to
page 2, print current page, "no" to the query. And so on...

or
Print the entire booklet, restack the pages, turn the stack over, print the
entire booklet again. This will give you two booklets.

Thank you for those suggestions, Mary.

I found that using the VBA from Microsoft caused me some grief, but I'm
working on it! Needs half-size paper, i.e. a% instead of
A4 and doesn't produce the true 'booklet' format

Producing two copies is a good and simple approach. Faster than feeding
single sheets.

I'm glad it worked out for you. It is okay for a short booklet if you print two
copies, when the booklets get long; the toner and paper becomes a big
consideration.
