Default Microsoft Office 2003

I installed Office 2003 per instructions; full set-up. Purchased for Word
2003, my documents are coming out in "WordPad" not Office Documents. Wanted
to update resume, it's a mess. Almost like program didn't fully install.
Changed doc into Word at work, sent home and Office 2003 at home is changing
it into this "word pad" Can someone please tell me how to fix? Why is it
doing this?

If you mean that you do have Word installed onto the computer and when you
double click a .doc file in My computer or Windows Explorer it opens in Word
Pad, then your file associations are incorrect. May be an easy fix.

Try this: Open My Computer (or Computer in Vista) and find a .doc file.

Right click on the filename and then left click on "Open with" and then
browse to C:\Program File\Microsoft Office\Office 11\WinWord.exe and select
it. The actual location of the program file may be different depending on
what instructions you gave the install program. To see the .exe at the end
of the program's name you also must have "Hide extensions for known file
types" turned off in Explorer, Tools, Folder Options, View.

Ensure that Always use the selected program to open this kind of file is
checked and then OK out.

XP and Vista are "browsed" a little differently but the end result is the
same.

Let us know if this is your fix to your issue or not.
