Microsoft Office Professional 2007 encountered an error during set

I am trying to reinstall Office professional 2007. I had it installed as well
as Office Pro 2003. I updated vista with one of the many service packs and
office 2007 would not open any more.. showed it was installing each time I
opened it. I tried to uninstall it, but it will not let me remove it from
control panel. I have followed all of the suggestions. When I try to
uninstall in control panel I get the error "The language of this installation
package is not supported by your system." I have uninstalled office 2003.
When I try to install Office 2007 it will go 2/3 of the way through and then
stops giving the error "Microsoft Office Professional 2007 encountered an
error during setup." It does not give me any error messages or anything else.
I have tried to install regular and as an administrator. Anyone with
suggestions???

Well, I did a little more research and found the "Windows Installer cleaner
utility" that cleans all installation entries from the registry. I ran this
and reinstalled office and it was successful. Hope this helps anyone else
that may have this issue.
