Keyboard Lock & Disabling some Right Mouse-Button items
How can the keyboard be locked automatically when a presentation is run?
Also, is there a way to disable automatically some items of the Right Mouse-Button menu, when a presentation is run? I am developing some high-end presentations for my professional and e-commerce needs. The presentations are designed to be self-running with the least user intervention. I request sincere support. Keyboard Lock & Disabling some Right Mouse-Button items
If you set up the slide show up as Kiosk, only the Escape key will work.
However, all slide navigation must be provided through linked buttons or through automatic transitions. Also, go to Tools Options View and uncheck the three items under the heading of Slide show and the right click will be disabled. -- Sonia, MS PowerPoint MVP Team Autorun CD software, templates, and tutorials http://www.soniacoleman.com/ "Dr. Anis Karim" wrote in message ... Thanks Sonia, but help still required
Thanks Sonia, for the prompt help on Keyboard Lock and Right Click
disabling. Please be patient to read my further queries. I am working on a project which uses Powerpoint Viewer 2003 to show the slides in the presentations listed in a playlist. Hence my scenario is that I would like the Right Click to be NOT fully disabled. I should have either all items on the right-click menu disabled except 'Go To Show' and 'End All Shows' OR the right-click menu should have only 'Go To Show' and 'End All Shows' items. Is that possible? P. S.: As per your reply, it may be enough to provide navigation through linked buttons, while the kiosk mode is used and the right-click is completely disabled. But I have noticed a problem with that. eg: Let's say the playlist has 5 presentations, P1 - P5. I give a link in P2 to P4, and then run the playlist in Powerpoint Viewer 2003. When I click on the link in P2, I am shown P4. Ok. But, after P4 is finished, the show returns to P2 and then goes on to P3, P4, P5 in that order, INSTEAD OF CONTINUING TO P5. Thus, the sequential order is not maintained; which is required for the flow of my presentations. But the good thing is that this does not happen and the sequential order is maintained, when I use the 'Go To Show' item of the right-click menu. That's the reason for my query on right-click. As before, expecting prompt and sincere help... Dr. Anis Karim "Sonia" wrote in message ... If you set up the slide show up as Kiosk, only the Escape key will work. I replied to your separate post. Even though my replies have been prompt,
it's only because I happen to be online and working on other things. No one here is from Microsoft, nor is anyone paid. We do this voluntarily as fellow users of PowerPoint.
