#Error in memo field
I keep having strange occurrances of a #Error in a Memo Field in two forms
I've created. It just appears out of no where, seemingly, and when I try to erase the #Error out of the field, Access tells me that 'another user' has the file open as well. I'm not on a network, the database is only on my computer!! When I try to even look at the record in its corresponding table, it gives me that same error message, asking me if I want to save the record (I say yes, nothing happens), and won't even let me close the table. I've had to delete several entire records because of this. Any ideas? Thanks! |

Yes. You have a corrupt database. Tony Toews has an excellent web page on
database corruption. http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruptmdbs.htm Allen Brown also has excellent info on corruption. http://allenbrowne.com/ser-47.html I have a white paper in a Word document named Fix Corrupt Access Database towards the bottom this page: http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/OtherLibraries.asp In my paper there's a method to extract most of the data from the table with the errors. -- Jerry Whittle Light. Thank you so much for your quick response. Looks like I've got some work to do.
