Default Formula Help


I have a small problem what i want to do is have excell subtract 8 from
a cell only if the value in that cell is greater than 8 in other words
i don't want any negative numbers to result from the formula so
basicaly

take cell s7 if the value in cell s7 is greater than 8 then i want to
subtract 8 if the value is less than 8 than i want either a 0 or
nothing displayed.

any help is appericated

one way:

=MAX(0,S7-8)

or

=IF(S7=8,S7-8,"")
