Word shuts down when attempting Outlook address mail merge
I have been using MS Word to merge Outlook addresses on envelopes for years.
But now, for reasons unknown, when I open my template merge document, or for that matter when I create a new one from scratch, MS Word immediately shuts down when I try to access the Outlook addresses (Ribbon Mailings tab: Select recipeints: Select from Outlook contacts...). This is recent - after loading MSO2007 SP2. I saw one previous posting in this regard, but the correction was SP2, which I have already done. I have also checked the Registry with respect to the article at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918792, and everything appears as expected. I am running MS Office 2007 Pro SP2 on Windows XP Pro. Anyone know anything about this? |

Try initiating the merge from Outlook.
See the "Mailmerge from Outlook" item on fellow MVP Graham Mayor's website at: http://www.gmayor.com/mailmerge_from_outlook.htm -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis.
