Locking Form Prevents Mail Merge; any workarounds?
I have created a fairly complicated for, with a lot of checkboxes and fields
for the recipients to fill out. I am trying to use Mail Merge to pre-populate the form with info we already have, and to email each personalized form as an attachment to the individual. Of course, in order for the form to act as a form, and allow the checkbox fields to be checked, I have to lock the form. Unfortunately, that prevents me from initiating the Mail Merge, since that function is disabled - even when all of the merge fields are in a different, supposedly unprotected section. Is there any way to accomplish what I am trying to do, other than opening the attachments for 200 emails to lock them after the merge? |

See the article “Combining FormFields and Mail Merge” on the following page
of fellow MVP Graham Mayor’s website: http://www.gmayor.com/Form_Fields_and_Mail_Merge.htm If that information is of use to you, please do consider contributing to the maintenance of that website to ensure its continued availability. -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis.
