Merged field is truncated
I am merging data from Excel 2002 and the field that is merged into Word 2002
is truncated. Does the mail merge field have a field size of 250 characters? If so, is there any way to to override this limitation?

If so, is there any way to to override this limitation? Some types of data connection will have this effect, yes. Try using a DDE connection to the data and see if that makes any difference. Activate "Confirm conversions on open" in Tools/Options/General, then link to the Excel workbook again. You should get a list, from which you can select DDE.
