Hi
You are looking for Data / Validation. Using this you can set ceratin criteria (whole numbe, date, time etc) or you create a list (or use an existing one) -- Andy. "Janice" wrote in message ... janice,
You will need to set up a list say in F1 to Fwhatever with :water, lightning, roof, hail, etc Then in the cell(s) you require the drop down , go: Data Validation Allow = List Source F1: F whatever then Ok Harry "Janice" wrote: I am using Office 2000 on a windows 2000 machine. Dropdowns
Others have suggested Data Validation to create a dropdown list of
choices for a cell. However, you'll have to scroll through the list, and select the item for the cell. It won't autocomplete as you start typing the letters. A combobox from the Control toolbox has that feature, but may be a bit more difficult to set up. Janice wrote: I am using Office 2000 on a windows 2000 machine.
