Default How to put the properties of files into a list?

I need to export the properties/metadata of files into a
list. The properties should include fields like: title,
subject, keywords, comments, last revised, and such. I
appreciate that anyone can share if he/she knows how to
do this. I am in Windows 2000/XP, and Office 2000 or 2003
environment. Thanks.
