Default Outlook Contacts Screen

The 1st page has an area for notes. I use this extensively as my PDA uses
this as well for note taking. I add the dates into the area andf then the
note l wish to include eg '03/17/09 Company recently started business'. The
next time l visit l add a new line of notes eg '03/18/09 Droped in new
catalog. Can l sort this data in any way remembering my PDA has not other
date/note abilities

No, as it is just a text field it is treated as a whole and thus static.
You'd have to sort it when writing it.
Another way to go would be to use Tasks if your mobile device supports it.
