Default multiple email accounts in 1 identity - how to set up

Create local folders for each account. Eg: Inbox Info, Inbox Sales, etc.
Then create a message rule for each.

Where the message is from the specified account.
Move it to the specified folder & Stop processing more rules.
Click on: Specified Account and enter the account name for one of the
Inboxes.
Click on: Specified Folder and select the folder you created.
Name the rule.

Repeat for the rest

Move these rules to the top of the rules list and the incoming messages will
be separated into their respective folders.

hello,

i set up 10 email accounts on my domain.

i would like to download all of the incoming email from these 10 email
accounts from my hosting companies server into one outlook express
identity.

i want to create a filter for each email account so that based on the
email
address (ie, , etc), the incoming
email
goes to a folder (ie info account folder, sales account folder)

is this possible?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming you can access the accounts in OE, see...

Message Rules Tips
http://www.insideoe.com/tips/rules.htm

Why doesn't my rule work?

The specified account rule will not work if the 'accounts' are just aliases
for the main account.
Does each account have its own password?

If the accounts are not aliases and you want to keep incoming and sent items
for each account separate, you can download and install Windows Live Mail.

Bruce didn't mention that you have to add each account to OE before creating
the message rules. Tools, Accounts, Mail
What type of access do the accounts have? pop? imap?
Pop would work the best for you.

what i forgot to say in my previous reply is that in addition to the 10
email accounts, my domain has what i call a master email account.
i lot into that account via the web mail tool on my domain.
i think the name of the web mail tool is called "horde"

i created a folder for each account and the emails based on the email
address go into a folder.
that is what i want to replicate in outlook express.

i hope this helps clarify what i'm trying to accomplish.

thank you.

Bruce didn't realize the OP wasn't even getting the messages in OE. I
thought "separating" them was the issue.

Default multiple email accounts in 1 identity - live mail

OE will work the best for the accounts on your domain.
The other accounts should be setup in different Identities. You can create
separate shortcuts for each Identity.
You can use WLM at the same time as OE. WLM is an email program similar to
OE and runs on XP, Vista, or Win 7.

isn't live mail web based?

if so, that honestly does not appeal to me because in addition to these 10
email accounts for this domain, i have several other email accounts for
some
of my clients that i have to maintain, plus a few yahoo accounts. my goal
is
to bring all email accounts into outlook express on my netbook.

currently, i have the non domain email accounts on 2 other laptops in
outlook express.

it's just a hot mess!

it will be easier for me if all of my email is on one computer

thank you.

I am not sure of what the exact setup is.
If there is a main Inbox on the server and the messages have been moved to
user created folders, then OE will not download messages not in the Main
Inbox.
If the setup is a mail server, then the user created folders are Inboxes for
each account.
