Outlook Express 6 (in WinXP) shows a 'red arrow' against the
message I replied to, but my reply is not shown.

For example: news:rec.sport.golf, thread "Honors Course Photos"
by Annika1980 - he replies to me at 8/8/2009 11:04 AM ..

I used 2 cameras and 3 lenses. I went early in the morning while it
snipped

Unsubscribing then subscribing fixes the problem - but what a pain!

Anyone?

If un-subscribing and re-subscribing fixes it temporarily, I would remover
the entire news account, reboot, and then add it back and subscribe again.

One other problem: sometimes OE has problems with quoting,
especially deep in a thread - and doesn't quote (, , etc) at
all, leaving me to add quotes. Have you come across this (?),
and is there a solution?

Thanks,
Alan

If the OP is using Quoted Printable, OE will not insert the () indentation
mark. The solution is.......
